MEL & KEY’S RIVERLIFE WEDDING

I was really excited to get to do another Riverlife wedding because it’s such a great venue with so many fantastic spots for photos.

This wedding was particularly special day for me to be part of because Mel and I actually went to primary school together waaaay back when. Even though we hadn’t seen each other in 10 years or more it was so amazing to be there to witness such a special day in her life.

The ladies at Francesca’s Flowers did such a fanastic job of Mel’s bouquet. I love the oversized bouquets and the way they’ve combined the few statement flowers with the gorgeous greens.

Mel & Key’s son, Hunter wore a cute little bow tie matching his Dad’s and suspenders. He walked down the aisle with Mel’s maid of honour, Kirsty and had a great time, giggling his way through the ceremony.

The location at Riverlife is so fantastic with a beautiful view of Brisbane city in the background.

One of the greatest things about a Riverlife wedding is that there’s SO many great photo locations within walking distance. We did some photos around the ceremony location and then some with bridal party around the cliffs.

So that we could get some great couple portraits, we sent the bridal party back to have drinks and went to a gorgeous spot by the river with an uninterrupted view of the city. Following that we just wandered around different parts of the parklands taking advantage of the different views and green spaces.

The beautiful set up of the City Lights Marquee. Having only 40 people at their wedding meant Mel & Key’s reception was lovely and intimate. There was beautiful food, plenty of drinks, some fantastic speeches and big laughs.

Having the city lights in the background makes for a beautiful scene. And look at that cake! YUM!
