This being my first Preston Peak wedding, I was very excited to check out this venue I’d heard so much about. And it was wonderful! Everything is beautiful and all so close together meaning it’s a very relaxed day from start to finish.
I was especially excited for this wedding because I was lucky enough to have photographed Scott’s twin brother’s wedding a few years earlier. This meant I already knew the whole family and even got to meet a few new additions! They’re all such beautiful people who went the extra mile to make me feel like part of the family so it was a very special day to be involved in. So much so that I didn’t want to leave at the end of the night!
Scott and his groomsmen waiting at the top of the aisle for the girls to make their grand entrance.
One of my favourite parts of the chapel at Preston Peak is the amazing walk down the aisle and the anticipation as everyone watches the bride approach.
The avenue of trees was our first stop for bridal party portraits. I love to get lots of happy, laughing faces during portraits because that’s generally what everyone is doing when they’re not looking at the camera anyway! It’s all about capturing that feel of the day for me and most of my couples are easy going people who love a good laugh.
I absolutely love this olive grove for photos! The olive trees with the sun shining through and that beautiful silvery green tone of the leaves is such a stunning backdrop.
The western side of the property gets the most stunning sunsets and gorgeous golden light! It’s a photographers dream!
The reception space at Preston Peak weddings is gorgeous with the fairy lights and open feel given by all the large windows and doors. Such a great space for about 100 – 150 guests for a seated reception.
If there’s a chance to, I love to take a moment to do a night time portrait with my couples. You can’t say no when there’s a perfect avenue of trees and lights like this one!!
Scott’s twin brother, Andrew, gave a really moving speech emphasising what a strong bond they have and that marrying one of them is really marrying both of them. He also mentioned the strong bond between Alex and his wife Casey and how important that is to them. Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! But also plenty of laughs as these guys are total larakins.
What a spectacular spot for your first dance! The vines and fairy lights frame it beautifully. And that LOVE sign topped it off perfectly!
Scott and Alex also ordered a beautiful wedding album to preserve their photographs. These albums are designed by me and printed and bound to highest quality.
